In addition, AMC has committed to installing RealD 3D systems in all new-build theatres and as they upgrade, renovate and improve existing AMC locations in North America during the term of the extension. The announcement was jointly made today by Adam Aron, AMC’s Chief Executive Officer and President, and RealD’s Michael V. Lewis, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of RealD. AMC is the nation’s largest RealD customer with over 3,300 system installs in North America. On a global basis, AMC, combined with its global subsidiaries, has more than 4,900 RealD units installed.
